Supertrion The Night Agent – bestående av Jacob Hirdwall, Christopher Wollter och Janne Schaffer – präglas av ett sound som för tankarna till 80-talets new wave-scen. Ljudbilden andas nattklubb, neon och dekadens. På sång hittas Wollter och hans insats är både övertygande och passionerad. Det är uppenbart att Gary Numan är en av husgudarna.

Hirdwalls existensiella texter tangerar det universella, vilket skapar en inramning som har potentialen att nå den breda massan. Schaffers medryckande och funkiga gitarrspel adderar driv och låtens tidstypiska trummaskin generar en dos nostalgi. I bakgrunden hörs Linnea Elfström Schederin, vars sånginsats får musiken att tangera 90-talets eurodisco.

Slutresultat är imponerande och ger mersmak inför framtiden.

Lead guitarist Janne Schaffer, singer Christopher Wollter and composer Jacob Hirdwall (synths, computers) are The Night Agent trio together with singer Linnea Elfström Schederin. Their work blends elements of new wave and synth pop with processed guitars and contemporary electronica. 

We have to hand it to these guys, ‘When You Dream’ sounds unbelievable, the new song highlights The Night Agent’s infectious writing style and their vocals are rich and attractive, it’ll have you humming and singing along in no time. The song hits all the marks for us, it’s irresistibly rich, original, and easy to connect with. It’s honestly that good. It’s music like The Night Agent’s ‘When You Dream’ that’ll will stick in your head all day long, we guarantee it. Composé de 3 brillants talents de la musique notamment le majestueux guitariste Janne Schaffer au background impeccable, le chanteur Christopher Wollter et le producteur Jacob Hirdwall, le groupe nommé The Night Agent avec leur single intitulé « A Voice In The Void » est notre coup de cœur musical.

Lorsqu’on écoute le morceau, force est de constater qu’en respectant leur rôle respectif, le trio ravive nos oreilles sur tous les plans. Hirdwall réussit à nous embarquer dans un paysage sonore spécialement agréable avec des percussions électroniques dynamiques et des éléments de synthé ambiants. Déjà complètement emballé par la sonorité, Christopher Wollter nous cristallise d’une voix accrocheuse et agréable à écouter.

Les solos de guitare que nous propose la virtuose de la virtuose de la guitare Janne Schaffer sont d’une clarté impressionnante. Il démontre dans ce morceau qu’il n’a pas usurpé son background musical.
